London life #3

1. double wrap watch - Michael Kors // 2. chocolate box - House of Dorchester Flying the Flag {via John Lewis}// 3. tote - Madewell // 4. slip on sneakers - Rachel Zoe Barney

I haven't done a London life post for ages, but lately I have been running errands with my University assignments so I think I had a good excuse to be away the blogsphere. Today is the first day of Spring break (hooray) and finally I got sometime to answer all my emails and do a new blog post (yes, you may not want to hold your applause).

So what have I done during my absence?

Taking loads of black&white pictures with my new camera, craving this peanut butter fudge ice cream sandwiches- recipe here, playing the tourist around my city and doing loads of online shopping, that included this luxurious chocolate box! Doesn't it have the best package ever?

How was your weekend? I want to hear all about your news :)

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

Pink trees and blue jackets // Trespass Qikpac jacket review

It's been a while now that I have received this lovely Trespass jacket
from Surfdome, a London based company
that offers an extensive collection of sports equipment, outdoor clothing, footwear and accessories.

To be honest living in London and wearing a unisex jacket is not something I have ever thought
(everyone is so stylish!)
but this is a life saving piece of clothing as it can be easily packed away within a minute!
What does that mean?

Well let's say you are walking through the streets of the city
and out of the blue raindrops fall on your face
but you are not carrying an umbrella (story of my life).

This jacket comes in a pack away tiny bag that allows you to carry it with you around
and is so light weighted that makes it even more convenient to have it in your bag all day long!

What I loved about this jacket:
-the amazing colour
- it is a wind breaker that keeps me warm even though it is so thin
-it is quickly packed away
-it has light weight
-ideal for runners
-it has pockets and a an adjustable hood
-can be worn on top of your jacket and keep you dry
-very affordable price
-fast shipping (to be more precise very fast shipping)

Would I buy it as a gift for a friend?
.....definitely!
...and in case you would like to check some other jackets in different colours and shapes
 have a look here!

Thanks Surfdome for the lovely gift, it has been of a great use so far!

Mood board // White Thursday

all pictures taken via and edited by me

Life is moving forward and I feel like taking every step slowly.
Before starting this post I gave a good thought whether I should apologize or not for being away from the blogsphere for such a long time, but I was just not feeling into it.
I took the decision of writing when I feel like saying something or having something to post about.
Hope you will still be here for me :)
Enjoy today's mood board...
...white Thurday it is!

Wishlist // Debenham's competition

1. scarf-£17.50 // 2. hooded coat-£32 // 3. knitted jumper-£20 //
4. watch-£37.50 //5. skinny jeans-£50  // 6. chelsea boots-£45.50 //
Total: £202.50
1. dress-£44.99 // 2. eye palette-£48 // 3. clutch-£26.25 // 4. pearl earrings-£5 //
5. bra-£24 // 6. lipstick-£18 // 7. heels-£48.75 //
Total: £214.99

Some days ago I stumbled upon this fabulous Debenham's competition on Natasha's blog and couldn't hold myself back from excitement! The chance of winning £500 to spend on Debenham's alone made me dream of so many wishlists and outfits!

Are you excited too? Then all you have to do is to create two outfits with pieces from Debenham's; a cozy, winter warmer look for the cold days and an elegant look for a party occasion.

For my winter warmer look I pictured myself in Oxford Street on a rainy day!
What better to wear than a classic grey montgomery coat, a same colour sweater and a pair of skinny jeans to keep me warm and comfortable while I do my shopping! I would finish the look with a pair of comfortable ankle boots, a knitted scarf wrapped around my neck and a watch to check the time so as not miss the night date with my girlfriends...

..speaking of which, on a night out in Soho (Aqua bar preferably),
I would wear a chic blue royal dress with lace details and a pair of golden high heels
to make a girly and at the same time timeless look.
Since the dress has so much beauty on it, I wouldn't over make it with the accessories;
a simple pair of pearl earrings and a clutch bag would be just perfect!
Of course the lingerie plays a major role when wearing
a dress like this, so I would make sure to get the right bra (for all occasions).
Last but not the least, I would keep a simple make up
with a deep red lipstick, a natural eye palette and a low chignon hairstyle.

What do you think? Would you wear these two looks for a casual day and a night out?
Let me know which one is your favourite!

Joanne

P.S: I would like to thank Debenhams, Natasha and Victoria for the lovely opportunity. Hope you enjoyed my entry!

Decorating ideas // Colourful curtains

Last night,
mum and my sister had a serious discussion
about a room renovation,
-or to be more precise- room redecoration.
The idea is that since we do not live in my parents house anymore,
we could change the decoration of our childhood room
and turn it into a guest room!

We all three agreed to do our search
in magazines, books and through the internet
and end up with individual plans.
You think what I am thinking right?
Certainly that means that I have to come up with a plan and various ideas
that would please both my mum and sister,
so as to step into action as soon as possible.

Colourful curtains, I said out loud!
I mean think of it, if you add colourful curtains
in any room
they can instantly turn in into the most interesting room of the house!

Depending on your personal style,
there are many different options to stick with.
For instance, floral curtains match perfectly in a bedroom with pink walls
and it is the ideal touch for a romantic Edwardian look.

We eventually agreed to buy striped mint or lavender colour curtains for our room
and do the redecoration on May.
I am so excited, I cannot wait to share the 'before' and 'after' pictures with you!
It's going to be amazing :)

What do you think of colourful curtains, yes or no?
